The Interrupter

Difficult Participants
Trigger / When to Use

Participant keeps cutting others off mid-sentence

Quick Response

Hold that thought, [Name] - let's let [Other Name] finish, then you're straight up next.

Detailed Tips
  • Use a non-verbal cue (raised hand, body turn) before they jump in
  • Add structure: round-robins, timed turns, written-first input
  • Name the pattern privately at a break
  • Hand a timekeeper role to make enforcement neutral
Prevention

Set the ground rule at start: one speaker at a time, let people finish
